Matos, Fonseca & Associados is a limited liability company based in Portugal. It was founded at the end of 2006 and began its activity in January 2007.
Its Quality Management System is certified with the ISO 9001:2015 standard. Its managers and staff have a vast curriculum in their area of activity, ensuring a complete understanding of the different types of projects. Matos, Fonseca & Associados also has partnerships with several companies and a pool of consultants, providing its clients with a wide range of specialized services.
In the work carried out by Matos, Fonseca & Associados, it has worked actively in the area of the environment, planning and land use, whether in Portugal or abroad, with various projects developed in direct association with public institutions such as the APA, the INAG, the General Secretariat for the Environment, several ARH, several municipalities, the Administration of the Ports of Setúbal and Sesimbra, the Institute for Nature Conservation, having participated, either as responsible for development or as advisor to the Ministry of the Environment in various works of water resources management and environmental assessment.
It also has, among its private clients, the largest companies and organisations, both nationally and internationally, in particular EDP, REN, ENDESA (ENEL), IBERDROLA, FINERGE, HANWHA QCELLS, GALP, SONAE, TRUSTENERGY, SAVANNAH, AKUO, EVERIS (currently NTT Data Portugal), MOTA ENGIL, EDIA, SIDERURGIA NACIONAL, MARTIFER Solar, FUSION Cell, the Regional Government of Príncipe Island or the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Blue Economy of the Government of São Tomé and Príncipe.
